Reviews
- KeriKeri 24 Februari 2004, Northland Chronicle
"The highlight of the recital was 4 Impromptus Opus 90 by Schubert. An unforgettable performance. Heartfelt happiness in the music said it all. The pianist and his instrument were one. The concert was like a travel through time"
- Russell Lights reported, 13 November 2004
"Art has a real passion for music… from the way he sits behind the piano to the manner in which he discusses his performance. The grand piano at Orongo Bay
homestead reflected special quality of the evening - a performance with magic music, great friends, relaxed mood in a parlour setting…."
- Warkworth 7 November 2004, Music Society
"An exiting programme, we would love to hear more from you".
- Auckland 1 December 2004, John Eady

"I went to my first-ever piano recital last Sunday at Forum North. Art Zegelaar played pieces by Bach, Beethoven, Schubert and Debussy. Now, I'm not a great fan of piano music on CDs, prefering there to be two or more instruments. So it was a pleasant surprise to find myself engrossed in watching and listening to Art performing. The setting in the Caffler Suite was very cosy and I was able to sit close enough to see the music and watch Art's fingers flying up and down the keyboard. He made one
piece by Schubert sound like flowing water. It was magic.
Art gave an introduction to each composer in his easy manner and made us feel an important part of the show. As far as his technical skills are concerned, all I can say is that I enjoyed the evening very much and will definitely go to his next recital here in twelve months time." Stephen Stent
